RE: Bought a MH with outdated / damaged tires?

amylynn0128,
Something you could try that worked once for me.
We have a TV reporter in our area that troubleshoots problems that consumers have with business. I called him once and he went to the business, talked to them and they made it right with me.
They were wrong and he told them that he would tell my story on the TV with pictures and all. So if you have anyone like that in your area talk to them. You may get your $500 back and it won't cost anything.
Good luck

RE: Headlight Condensation - replace?

I have a 2002. These are Ford truck lights. On the back the bulb is held in with a twist ring. Just push in a little and turn it a little until it comes out. Don't touch the bulb.
You may find that the ring is not tight. Dry the lense out as best as you can and reseal the ring. I want to gat new lights some day and havn't figured out how to get them out.
Good luck

RE: Question for those who removed carpet

Hi,
We put Pergo in ours in 2006 from bed room to cockpit area. Best thing we have done. My slide is raised so no problems.
We looked at cork planks that free float but was not sure of the durablity. We did like the cork for warmth and softness.
I would think that all these floorings would only get better.
We love ours and so easy to clean.
Good luck

RE: Carpet to wood floors

Hi,
I did mine last year and love it. Didn't notice any more noise.
I done mine from seats to bedroom including bath and front slide. I
used 10 boxes but you have more waste because of all the cuts and fitting. Bought 12 boxes and took two back.
Hope this helps.

RE: Disability Passes

John,
Thank you for your service.
I think your pass (parking pass) is good in any state. As others have stated most all states have disabled passes for a lot of different things.
Good luck and God Bless

RE: Headlamp replacement. How? (pics)

Hi,
On my Bounder the bulbs remove by just twisting the socket at the rear. They have a ring and you just turn it half a turn. My headlights are from a 1997 Ford truck. Can still get them from Ford parts at about $30 each.
Good luck

RE: 2005 Winnebago Adventurer- please adivse on unit

Dan,
The price is too low. Be very careful when buying used. The Winny is a nice moto.
I bought used and the one thing I had to have was the service records.
This tells you how well the owner took care of it and what was done. I turned two down because they could not give me any records,
This is a buyers market so make very low offers. Look it over then look some more. Drive it. I drove the one I bought around 60 miles. Some interstate but most on state roads. After you drive it look for leaks.
Hope this helps and good luck.

RE: Heading to Yellowstone for the first time

Hello,
We stayed at Rush-no-more CG south of Sturgis, SD. You are 30 miles from Rushmore and Deadwood. Nice place. There is a lot to see around there.
Be aware that the Sturgis Bike week is Aug 4th and you won't get anything close. You can try Rapid City area but get reservations or go later.
Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park were great. You would need three or four days to see what is in that area. Also you should stop at Devils Tower around Sundance, WY when you go by. Big Horn National Park is off I-25 in Montana about 25 miles north of WY. You will be close to that.
Just some places around that area.
Enjoy your trip as it will be priceless.

RE: laminate flooring question

Hi,
Mine does not squeak. Don't glue it, let it float. Leave 1/4" around the outside for expansion. As for water, if you leave it lay on the floor you may have a problem. Clean it off right away, no problem.
This stuff is great and you will love it.

RE: How to get to heater core?

Hi,
I had the panel out when I redone the carpet on it. I don't know if your core is in there. If you take it out insolate the sides and floor
before you put it back in. My heater and fan were in there. Also the wiring to the front outlets.
Good luck

RE: Ready Brake, anyone have one?

Hi,
I have been using the Ready Brake for two years. Has worked well for me. I installed the brake and break away cables myself. The brake cable needs to be tight enough so it can pull on pedel but not turn the light on. Also you need a bypass circut so brake light is off when towing. Call them and they will answer all your questions.
I needed a 10" drop for my setup. You don't want more than 2" high or low on the bar. Best is level.
Works for me.

RE: New Pace Arrow owner!

SWM,
I have a friend that has a 2007 Bounder 38P. There was a problem with the slide out comming out. He didn't have the problem but it has happened. Fleetwood knows about it.
You may want to call them and see if your unit has this problem.
I might add that his unit is sooooooo sweet. Nice. You will love yours.
Good luck

RE: Painting plywood floor

Hi,
I replaced the carpet in my Moto last year. I weighted everything I took out and weighted everything I put in. Difference was 65lbs heavyer. I removed the booth added two chairs and made a bigger table.
I used Prego for the floor. It will weigh 29lbs per box and I used 10 boxes. I also made my own trim from oak.
So 65lbs will not make any difference. Slowing down will get you the most milage. Try 60m/hr and see. I did this for the last 3800 miles and gained almost 2m/gal and I still got to where I was going. Over 300 miles a day 5m/hr won't make much difference except in fuel.
Good luck

RE: is there a bounder chat page

The Bounder group that I gave the web address for is free. All you have to do is sign up to ask questions. Once you sign up you have access. You will get e-mails from them but you can opt out so you don't get them. Just go to the site and look around. You may not like it. There is a lot of info to be had on Bounders.
Good luck.

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Bounder Headlights

Try this site. My 2002 uses 1997 Ford van lights. A lot cheaper from Ford than Fleetwood even if they had them.

RE: If your budget was $90,000, what would you buy?

ZSR22,
I just went up 441 to I40 from Atlanta, 33 miles was on the BR Parkway, with my gaser and it did fine. The Allison trany and 8.1 had no problem up or down. I am going to CO. this summer and it will be fine there also. My truck is 3900lbs.
So get what you like and don't worry about the eastern mountains. Just enjoy the life style.
Good lick

RE: Cheap Fuel

Hi,
In 2006-07 we drove 4100 miles. To FL across to TX (RGV) then home.
Three and 1/2 mos.
In 2007-08 we were gone 4 and 1/2 mos. Went to TX (RGV) then to Rally at Perry, GA then home, 3600 miles.
First trip towing truck we got 7.7 m/gal. Drove 65m/hr.
Second trip stayed at 60 and sometimes if traffic was light 55-57m/hr. We got 10.2 m/gal.
The only other things I did was changed plugs and new heavy wires and changed oil to a blend (5W30). I think speed was a big factor. I only carry 1/4 tank of water and other tanks, except fuel, are empty. The truck has 1/2 tank of gas.
We are going to CO. this summer and will see if we do the same on fuel. Will run I80 going out and I 70 comming home.
Don't know the answers to better milage. But will keep on the road as long as we can
Good traveling.
